Description

A Dutch boxset paperback edition of the Farseer trilogy, De Boeken van de Zieners - deel 1, 2 en 3, from Luitingh-Sijthoff in November 2017 with the Alejandro Colucci cover art and ISBN 9789024579693. Their friendship is everything and it made me so sad when Nighteyes decided to go his own way for a while. It seriously took “Out Islands” being spelled out next to the word “Outislanders” for me to realize that it was “Out-islanders”, not “Outis-landers”. Assassin’s Apprentice was her first novel which began the internationally acclaimed Farseer trilogy.

If Verity wasn't up to the job, clearly Fitz would have been and he could have been put forward as a viable alternative to Regal. The theme of the book has completely changed from the previous novels- with a much more high fantasy theme flowing through it.If you’ve read Assassin’s Quest, I would love to know your thoughts on it and the Farseer Trilogy as a whole!

Besides the fact that a handful of characters have died, one could just turn the time back to the beginning of Assassin’s Apprentice, and it would be a rather similar ending to the one delivered here. A Greek translation Η τελευταία αποστολή in two parts from Anubis in 2002, with the Stephen Youll cover art. I already knew that Assassin's Quest is considered to be one of the weakest novels in the Realm of Elderlings series. She raised her family, ran a smallholding, delivered post to her remote community, all at the same time as writing stories and novels.

No matter how you prefer to look at it, it definitely made it easier to cope with the huge changes that happened in this book. Of Verity, on his quest to find the legendary Elderings, there has been no word; Molly, Kettricken and the Fool have all vanished. Still, the way it was shoved into one paragraph in the final chapter made it seem very much like an afterthought… I would have loved to actively discover that throughout the story and maybe also have gotten to see some Raider characters. And I must admit, it was kind of satisfying to see Regal groveling to Prince Dutiful at the end 😂 And Chade’s ferret finally got its big moment! The conclusion was also full of deus ex machina that it made the 500 pages of traveling not satisfying.
