Because it's so loose and expressive, it's much easier and faster to learn than traditional watercolour painting. To protect Brusho and other water colour paintings from damage caused by dust, dirt, humidity, ultra violet radiation, smoke, scuffs and scratches it is recommended that you use a high quality uv spray. Respiratory - None volatile but as appropriate to the situation and the quantity handled in powder form.

These ready to use spray inks work really well with stencils especially for creative journaling and card making, hours of fun experimenting with Brusho techniques. Spritz water on to water colour paper – sprinkle Brusho Crystal Colour on to the paper and it bursts in to colour. It is worth noting that when adding the thickener powder slowly to the water you must continue to stir, this will prevent lumps from forming. You can simply sprinkle the powders over Brusho Crystal Colourand then, once spritzed with water, they will create amazing effects. The Colours in this set are water-based, acid-free, non-toxic and can be easily mixed to make any shade under the rainbow! Achieve stunning results and experiment with a wide range of techniques from pen and ink work to watercolour painting, batik, painting models and more!Masking fluid can be used with Brusho paints or inks, just paint using a ruling pen or silicone applicator or an old brush onto the paper and leave to dry. They are transparent and unpredictable - much like watercolour but even more surprising as you really never know what you are going to get. To make Brusho inks, all you need are some small 100ml spray bottles in which to decant a small amount of your pigment powder.

They forever change until dry and create a beautiful abstract background that I tend to then go back in and add my fineliner drawing on top. They will stain surfaces, clothes and hands as the tiny pigment particles can easily be airborne and land unintentionally where they are not wanted! In the Brusho Secrets DVD Joanne lays out her complete step-by-step guide to the Brusho painting method. Of course, once you get the hang of Brusho I’m sure your imagination will be fired up to incorporate Brusho with other things like stencilling, doodling and using a wax resist, just to name a few.

She first began experimenting with this little-known paint medium 4 years ago and instantly fell in love with its unpredictable, eye-catching properties. Then use your liquid masking fluid to retain the highlights on objects, stems or petals, and wait for it to dry.
