A story of humour born of pain, success wrung from adversity and of the steely ambition beneath the affable exterior ― Sunday Life --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title. A wonderful story with great narrative, like sitting in a room having coffee with a brilliant and humble human who has gifted us with his humor. I loved the early Mrs Brown Series and this book incorporates the nature and personal attributes of the whole cast while building up a fabulous description of Brendan and his many qualities. She wrote under a pen name because, at the time her series began, men dominated the genres of action/adventure, SciFi and lore.

Throughout the tough moments, Brendan always had humour and a good story to tell alongside the ever-guiding inspiration of his own Mammy, a formidable figure who became Ireland's first female Labour MP, all whilst raising eleven children by herself. I always wondered about the background of Brendon O'Caroll, especially as I have worked in the area of Finglas where he is from , and where Mrs Brown is based. With that in mind, she has decided to rework her entire book portfolio and release it again with new titles, new covers and much more critical edits than ever before. The show won the comedy award at the NTAs five times won three BAFTA Scotland awards and in 2012 won a BAFTA TV Award for Best Situation Comedy. O’Carroll’s life was very different than what I had imagined; and it was fun to read how his famous mammy came into being.

Her interests have changed, but her love for her characters and her imaginary world she invented for them has not subsided. The youngest of ten children from a poor family in Dublin, his father died when he was just nine years old. He is a member of Mensa and he's best-known for writing popular television sitcom Mrs Brown's Boys, playing Agnes Brown. The youngest of ten children from a poor family in Dublin, Brendan left school at the mere age of 12 to begin what would become a long and varied working life. In his own unique voice, Brendan O'Carroll strings together the threads of his life, a helter-skelter story tracing the helter-skelter journey of a scrawny kid from Finglas, Dublin to TV screens around the world .Having started a long series under a pen name is was almost impossible to change horses in mid-stream. With more time on her hands after retirement and several close family members' deaths, she now has the luxury to immerse herself into her beloved writing hobby. He has written four films and nine comedy shows, including The Course (1995) and The Last Wedding (1999). He has also published seven novels, including The Mammy, The Scrapper and The Young Wan - a number of which have been translated into 12 languages.
