It brings me back to the days when I first tried gin in the summer, or my childhoods on piney coastal beaches. Really wanted to love this for the fresh citrusy opening but the clunky shift and jerk into tenacious Amberwood overload in the dry down ruined this one for me. It’s very sharp and fresh like grapefruit, but it has classy clean gentlemanly soapy vibes far underneath (it’s just a hint of soapiness, and it’s the good kind, like Prada or a fancy hotel).

Boasting a robust melody of aromatic notes, coupled with a sustained, mildly pungent presence, Light Blue Intense should be in your rotation of cologne.Just imagine if the intense version of LB didn't project as much, and also had a very slight, almost non-detectable green, pine-like note, which I'm assuming is the cypress. A chilled citrus cocktail of refreshing mandarin and frozen grapefruit gives the top notes a cool, elegant twist. Its signature dry down of lustrous amber woods and precious musks melts into sun-kissed skin, unfurling into a vibrant, sensuously scented wake. The opening is unmistakably similar to Light Blue Eau Intense, rather than Light Blue Forever or Italian Love. I get a "popcorny" - hard to put into words - musk after about 5 minutes, especially if you apply it on clothes.

The distinguishing factor for me is that it smells kind of leafy, almost like tea leafs - that's juniper, probably. It's the first flanker that finally almost managed to get close to the original light blue before the formulation change. I sprayed it lightly last night before dinner (ruined my Pad Thai) and it was still lurking like a nosey neighbour when I woke up this morning. Anyways, It has a fresh and clean scent of citrus, marine, musk and a little bit of green from juniper.People really need to get their noses checked, and this is coming from someone who still recognizes scents since when he was a toddler.

I find this fragrance very pleasant and moderate, not intense or long-lasting like the name suggested.Light Blue Intense for men is a sharper, more savory and aromatic fragrance, lacking the musky-vanillic-lemon sweetness. At first impressions I didn’t like it( specially on the paper ) but I’m patient and the magic started after 10 minutes of application directly to the skin. I am happy that it lasts I so far am getting 7hours out of it compared to the original that didn’t last an hour.

Top notes are Grapefruit and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Sea water and Juniper; base notes are Musk and Amberwood.Because of this, versatility is poor but you can bet when those temps go through the roof, you will project and smell like a star. I now love this fragrance, it is great for hot days and as a freshie it lasts so much longer and has great sillage. I tested this fragrance by a tester in a perfumery and it lasted for more than 9 hours, the first two hours leaving a noticeable sillage and at the end staying close to the skin.
