Description

This beast boasts an amazing high-capacity hopper that can hold up to 100 rounds that are not lacking in the impact department. It is also practical as it takes out the grunt work of reloading mags and carrying dump pouches with a load of ammo is so much easier than mags.

The Nerf Rival Nemesis MXVII-10K blaster is not only easy to load and quick to unleash a fury of blistering rounds at an astounding velocity of 100 feet per second but it is also available in either red or blue (sold separately) so you can choose your colour and battle as a team! I've fought against battery powered Nerf toys for a while now since I've always felt the important part of using Nerf blasters was that anyone can power the toy with a simple motion of pulling back a lever or whatever device primes the ammo and pulling the trigger. The firing mechanism is similar to the Khaos and Hyperfire in that it uses a conveyor belt system to deliver the darts to the flywheels rather than the pusher arm used in earlier NERF blasters like the RapidStrike. The Nemesis is the second-most highest-capacity RIVAL blaster released, behind the Prometheus MXVIII-20K.As you would expect, the results were almost identical to the Khaos, which essentially shares the same flywheel mechanism. You will find four sling points; two in the front close to the barrel, one just in front of the trigger, and one at the back. Essentially it is a Khaos, but rather than have the incredibly complex 40 round magazine, the engineers at NERF have turned it upside-down and left gravity to feed the ammo into the chamber rather than the springs in the Khaos magazine. To load ammo into the hopper and you simply slide open up the top door and drop in a hundred balls (I still find that awesome…. Though, over time, I felt the desire to keep going - to play longer with less down time reloading and priming the toys for play.

Power it with batteries or the Nerf Rival Rechargeable Battery Pack (batteries not included and battery pack sold separately). This is not a blaster for the faint of heart, but if you are truly worthy of the Nerf game, you should absolutely have one of these in your armory. Instead of magazines or internal ammo storage like the other blasters in the Rival line, the Nemesis has a gigantic, removable, gravity-feeding hopper that can hold up to 100 rounds.

As a high-performing, fully automatic blaster, the Nemesis is an excellent trailblazer for the Prometheus and Perses models. Overall this is pretty rare, but it must be said that it does jam slightly more than the Khaos, but nowhere near as often as the HyperFire.

Drops off a bit on full auto using D cells, might have to try the NiMH pack but other than tthat awesome. The Nemesis is a flywheel blaster, which means has two battery-powered wheels inside which grab the balls and fling them out of the barrel. It makes for a fun in hand experience for the older set like myself but for the target demographic of real actual children, that weight could be a problem. But it’s worth pointing out that you do sometimes need to shake the blaster a bit to allow the rounds to be sucked into the funnel. If the Nemesis does jam (which rarely happens), the entire hopper chamber can be pulled out, which gives you almost full access to the internal mechanism. The Nemesis MXVII-10K is named after Nemesis, the Greek goddess who enacts vengeance on those who succumb to hubris.
