The human skeleton of an adult consists of around 206 bones, depending on the counting of sternum (which may alternatively be included as the manubrium, body of sternum, and the xiphoid process). [1] It is composed of 270 bones at the time of birth, [2] but later decreases to 206: 80 bones in the axial skeleton and 126 bones in the appendicular skeleton. 172 of 206 bones are part of a pair and the remaining 34 are unpaired. [3] Many small accessory bones, such as sesamoid bones, are not included in this. Bartholin glands: Bartholin glands sit on both sides inside the vaginal opening. They release secretions that lubricate the vagina to make sexual intercourse more comfortable. The frontal lobe: The frontal lobe, which is located in the front of the head, is the largest section of the brain. It plays a role in many conscious functions, including personality and movement. It also helps the brain interpret smells. The zygote is described as omnipotent because it ultimately gives rise to all the cells in your body including the highly specialized cells of your nervous system. Describe this transition, discussing the steps and processes that lead to these specialized cells. a b Lantéri, Édouard (1903). Modelling; a guide for teachers and students. Major arteries within the systemic circulatory system are the aorta and its branches, while the main representatives of the veins are the superior vena cava and inferior vena cava. The brain stem is associated with the midbrain. Auditory and visual responses are controlled by the mid-brain.

The person who is trained to study human physiology is called a physiologist. Claude Bernard is referred to as the father of Physiology for his exemplary research. Pectoralis major is a large, fan-shaped, superficial muscle located on the anterior thoracic wall. It forms the bulk of the chest area and can be easily seen on the surface in some people, for example weightlifters. The muscle has three heads giving it three points of origin: Beyond these similarities, however, lie some profound differences. Among the mammals, only humans have a predominantly two-legged ( bipedal) posture, a fact that has greatly modified the general mammalian body plan. (Even the kangaroo, which hops on two legs when moving rapidly, walks on four legs and uses its tail as a “third leg” when standing.) Moreover, the human brain, particularly the neocortex, is far and away the most highly developed in the animal kingdom. As intelligent as are many other mammals—such as chimpanzees and dolphins—none have achieved the intellectual status of the human species. Chemical composition of the body The process of digestion starts with mastication (chewing food). Then, the saliva mixes with food and forms a bolus, a small rounded mass that can be easily swallowed. Once swallowed, the food travels down the oesophagus and into the stomach. The stomach secretes strong acids and powerful enzymes that break the food down into a paste.

Breast tissue. The breast is the area of skin on the chest that is composed of fat, muscle, and ligament tissue, as well as an intricate network of blood vessels and glands. These areas are specialized for breastfeeding. Breast tissue size varies greatly from person to person, often due to a combination of individual genetics and body mass. Rectus abdominis, external abdominal oblique, internal abdominal oblique, transversus abdominis, pyramidalis, quadratus lumborum An ideal figure, used when aiming for an impression of nobility or grace, is drawn at 8 heads tall. Some teachers deprecate mechanistic measurements and strongly advise the artist to learn to estimate proportion by eye alone. [5]
