Whether this current boycott will have much of a lasting impact on Bud Light’s sales remains to be seen, but if history is any indicator, the answer is probably no. Boycotts tend to damage a company’s reputation more than they do its bottom line. It’s just the right size to enjoy a cold one with friends without overdoing it. The 11.3 oz. can of Budweiser is also a great option when hosting parties or large gatherings. Many on the right were not appeased by Anheuser-Busch’s statement and are continuing to call for a boycott. Also on April 14, Bud Light’s social media accounts posted for the first time since the Mulvaney controversy began, and those posts — a simple “TGIF?” — were met with furor. The same goes for a pro-America ad for Budweiser released the same day. With slightly more body and alcohol intensity than a light lager, Budweiser can stand up against a bit more flavour. However, it's most perfectly matched with medium/low intensity fatty and fried food that are a staple of most menus. Budweiser supports British farmers sourcing 75% of it's malted barley locally and aiming to reach 100% of British barley by 2020.

On April 14, Anheuser-Busch released a lengthy, quite tepid statement from its CEO, Brendan Whitworth, saying he is “responsible for ensuring every consumer feels proud of the beer we brew” and highlighting the number of people the company and its distributors employ. “We have thousands of partners, millions of fans and a proud history supporting our communities, military, first responders, sports fans and hard-working Americans everywhere,” he said. “We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people. We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer.” Another benefit of the larger cans is that they’re more portable. If you’re headed to a friend’s house or a picnic, you can just grab one can instead of having to lug around multiple cans. There’s not agreement among conservatives as to whether a boycott should go on. Donald Trump Jr. called for it to end in April. In May, former President Donald Trump weighed in on the issue for the first time, writing on Truth Social, “It’s time to beat the Radical Left at their own game. Money does talk—Anheuser-Busch now understands that,” in a promotion for a book about conservative companies to buy from. (He hasn’t been very vocal about the issue. As Insider notes, financial filings show he is an AB InBev shareholder.) Golden color with a subtle honey aroma and a trace of citrus, punctuated by notes of malt and noble hops. A perfectly balanced, full-flavoured lager with a crisp, clean and fast finish.

Uncommon Knowledge

Bud Light is facing a boycott after partnering with transgender influencer and activist Dylan Mulvaney. In full disclosure, I was on a tour sponsored by Budweiser in the 90’s. That was when Anheuser-Busch was American owned. A great American company that later sold out to the Europeans and became unrecognizable to the American consumer. Such a shame.— Travis Tritt (@Travistritt) April 6, 2023 This month, I celebrated by day 365 of womanhood, and Bud Light sent me possibly the best gift ever—a can with my face on it," Mulvaney told her social media followers, before referencing a promotion with the beer brand detailed on her profile. Big beer companies, such as AB InBev and Molson Coors and Constellation Brands, are constantly looking for new markets and new niches to shore up the growth of their existing beer portfolios, Infante explained. “These are tough brands to find growth for — Bud Light has been shedding barrels of volume for years. It’s past its prime; it will not be the largest beer in the country much longer,” he said. “This is standard-issue pinkwashing stuff. They’re looking for ways to quote-unquote align their values with customer segments that they think maybe they can still find some loyalty in.” With a range of sizes, you can find the perfect fit for any occasion. Why not grab a few cans and get the party started? 8 oz

This is the famous Budweiser beer. We know of no brand produced by any other brewer which costs so much to brew and age. Our exclusive Beechwood Aging produces a taste, a smoothness and a drinkability you will find in no other beer at any price. It’s a great option if you’re looking for an easy-to-drink beer that you can enjoy over a few hours. This size can allows you to have a few beers without overdoing it. It also allows you to have a couple drinks while having a conversation or watching a movie. A: You can buy Budweiser Beer various places in India, such as liquor stores, bars, and restaurants. It’s worth noting here that AB InBev is hardly some pro-trans hero. The company’s Friday statement signals it’s at the very least aware that it’s angered some of its customers, and beyond that, this Mulvaney partnership is ultimately about the company trying to generate profits. It also papers over some much less LGBTQ-friendly actions. Anheuser-Busch has made multiple donations to anti-LGBTQ and anti-trans politicians over time — Popular Info has a whole rundown of the company’s activities. In 2021, New York City’s famous Stonewall Inn said it wouldn’t sell Anheuser-Busch’s beers during Pride weekend in protest of its contributions to lawmakers who have supported anti-LGBTQ legislation.

Harley Davidson, you are an American icon. So was Bud Light," tweeted another. "Anheuser Busch badly misread their consumer brand, and are paying the price. AB is going down. Now you have partnered with the people who betrayed their base. You may wish to reconsider this decision." They wrote: "How many American companies have the crazy right told us to boycott now? Harley Davidson, Goodyear, Budweiser, UPS, Coca Cola, MLB, NFL and NBA etc etc etc. So much for American first. What a joke of [a] party the GOP is." The company didn’t respond to a follow-up asking whether they would still be working with Mulvaney. While corporate decisions sometimes serve as flash points in America’s culture wars, it’s probably important to point out that, by and large, they don’t have values. Or rather, they have only one: money.
